St. Francis Hall can be reserved for wedding receptions, retreats and meetings, as well as charitable and fundraising events. Recently renovated, the hall is fully air-conditioned and handicapped accessible.

RESERVING ST. FRANCIS  HALL

Reservations are complete with the return of a signed contract, 50 percent deposit, and $750 refundable security deposit. Final payments and all insurance documentation are due 30 days prior to event date.

CHAIR RENTALS

Gold Ballroom Chairs with white cushions are available for rent at a cost of $6 per chair. White chair covers are available for rent at a cost of $4 per cover. Red sashes may be added for an additional cost of $1 each.

AUDIO/VISUAL

Rental fee includes optional use of 12' x 12' screen with projector, sound system with cordless and wired microphone, and CD player.

CATERING AND ALCOHOL

Caterers must provide proof of insurance at least 30 days prior to event. Alcohol may be served with proof of appropriate license and insurance.

INSURANCE

Renters are required to provide personal liability insurance for their event. This coverage may be obtained through most homeowners/renters insurance companies at a nominal expense. Caterers and musicians (band or DJ) must also provide proof of liability insurance.

RATES

Weekend rental fee includes any eight hour time block with five hours of event time and three hours for set-up/clean-up. All events must conclude by 11:00pm (caterers may stay later for clean-up).

CAPACITY AND PARKING

St. Francis Hall can accommodate up to 250 guests with additional room for dancing. Ample parking is available. Guests will have access to the parking lot directly across the street from St. Francis Hall (40 spaces).

MONASTERY GROUNDS

Access to the Monastery gardens and grounds for photography is restricted to the bridal party and their photographer/videographer only. Non-profit or Catholic organizations may set up private tours or arrange to have Mass at the Monastery.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

Rental fee includes the use of tables (round, rectangular and cocktail tables available) and padded metal chairs. Linens must be provided by the client or caterer.

Kitchen equipment provided includes: commercial refrigerator and freezer, large microwave, under-the-counter cooler, 200-lb. ice-cart, mop and hand sink, and preparation tables.

St. Francis Hall offers six restroom stalls for women and six restroom stalls for men. Two handicapped-accessible restrooms are also available.

VIEWING ST. FRANCIS HALL

St. Francis Hall is available for viewing on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., by appointment only. The hall may be available periodically for viewing on weekends in conjunction with preparation for an event. Please call 202-425-6548 for details.
