Donations are being accepted now for the hundreds of luminaria candles throughout the churchyard during the "Seven Nights of Lights" program, at the Monastery's Gardens from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve (1400 Quincy St NE, DC).

The luminarias symbolize a welcoming pathway into our homes for Mary and Joseph on that first Christmas Eve. Each luminaria will have a name of a loved one imprinted on it, and all will be remembered in the prayers of the Friars.

You may send names to be placed on the luminaries to the Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild, P.O. Box 29059, Washington, DC 20017,by December 15th . A minimum $10 donation is suggested for each luminaria. Checks may be made to FMGG. All proceeds are used for the preservation of the Monastery Gardens.
